Spuds Galore!

After a morning of torrential rain, the sun came out, I do love the changeable weather here! Friends called over and we went out for a walk, onto the mountain, the heather is past it's best, but it was beautiful to be out blowing away the cobwebs and feeling the last of the September sunshine.
With a bit of light left in the day, my lovely young visitor from Israel helped me harvest the last of the spuds, here he is washing off the worst of the earth under the close supervision of mama dog! The spud variety is Sarpo Mira, a blight resistant variety from Hungary.
Now as I write this he is cooking supper for us, an ommlette full of vegetables and cheese, I wish he was staying longer but he is heading off to Kerry on his travels tomorrow!
