I spent most of today in Wigtown. The Cairn Chorus has a whole weekend of concerts and our first was at Wigtown Book Festival this evening. Lizzie and frank were giving me a lift and we all went early to have a look around. 

I enjoyed having a wander and visiting the secondhand bookshops and cafes (the photo is of the window boxes of  ReadingLasses, cleverly made from the covers of old books).

I also visited an amazing exhibition of art inspired by books and the music of The Bookshop Band.

The concert went well, I think, and I'm looking forward to another one tomorrow night in Glencairn Church, near Moniaive, marking the end of our Song Cycle.
