Harvest Festival

Thanks for all your comments on the last couple of days...

The whole weekend has gone by in a flash, I've been so busy I've had hardly any time to look at blip!

This morning we had our Harvest Festival service. So here are some models in our harvest display. The woman at the well, and Jesus fishing with the disciples. Very appropriate to take pictures for my blip tonight!

This evening was the Prayer, Praise and Communion Service run and organised by me. I am feeling quite pleased about the way it went, but think I could have 'linked' the various components a bit better. I will have to think about that if I am asked to do another service!

It was really lovely that a friend of mine who is a missionary in India turned up at the service tonight (along with his sister who lives near me) on a fleeting visit! He's here to go on an induction for a course he will be doing, hopefully leading to something that I now can't remember, my brain having given up for the day!

I drove them back to my friend's house as they had walked to the church, and unfortunately on the way back we encountered a very bad accident....I think it was young idiots driving too fast, it involved a motor cyclist :( I am so glad the police etc were already there (doing mouth to mouth on the mc).... I am first aid trained, but not sure I would be able to cope with that situation..... my stomach was churning, it was awful, it was right in front of me as I was driving and I was trying to concentrate on driving....

Not a nice thing to pass, and I had to pass it again on the way back (thankfully on the other side) so I just kept looking ahead....

Now I'm home in my pj's eating a quick supper before Downton Abbey is on (its nearly 9pm!)! I hope to catch up with all your blips in the week :)

Monday and the working week begin tomorrow, and I am off to the dr first thing for those results which I am still waiting for.... I'm glad its been a busy weekend for me!
