Clix : Aperture Wide Shut

Hurling

No. Not frustration.

I had a goal of getting the kitchen sink in and working this weekend.

MrsClix and the girls headed off this morning to leave me alone to do the job.

No sooner had they gone that I found, after turning off the electrics, that I was missing a bit.

To be more precise, a bit I had was the wrong bit.

Then it started to pour with rain.

Rushing out back to pull the washing in I phoned Derek to come and give me a hand.

And he did. With coffee. Fantastic!

We headed out, got the part and back to the house to fit it.

I asked if he was up to much, thanking him for helping out.

"Not much until the hurling at 3:30".

It was the All Ireland Final! I ahdn't watched the hurling in years. MrsClix came back and we agreed if I got the sink working I could go to the pub to watch.

Race against time.

Phew! Made it and off we went. Fantastic to watch and Kilkenny did well.

Then back home to find MrsClix with a glass of wine. Toots dressed as a witch. And Pip perusing the new kitchen sink with disdain.

Amazing to think that it was only June when I put a kitchen sink in the last place.
