Dad and me

I made a flying visit for the day to Wellington to see the Gallipoli exhibition at Te Papa and The Great War exhibition at the Dominion Museum with Dad and my brother.

We were awed by both very different exhibitions. It's sobering to have a small insight into what my paternal grandfather went through. As Dad said at we left the second exhibition "what a waste".

It's been a long day and bed won't be far away. I hope you sleep well Dad, you did incredibly well today and it was wonderful to spend today with you.
