Writer's festival....

and they start them young here on Cape Breton Island!

Well it was the final day of the Cape Breton Writer's Festival and it was wonderful. A panel discussion on the words of Oscar Wilde...."Our only responsibility to history, is to rewrite it". So began a couple of hours of intense discussion between the 3 novelist and the audience. It was lively for sure!

Then a delicious lunch and music to end the afternoon!

It has rained here most of the weekend, and it is still coming down.

Our friend Richard left this morning, to hitch hike his way towards Montreal!!! Rather him than me for sure! Terry and I find ourselves with the house to yourselves for the first time in 5 months.....it feels lovely!
