Apple Day

This magnificent beast welcomed over 800 visitors to Apple Day, a celebration of orchards and country crafts. It is organised every other year by the Arnside/Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty management team.
With orchard tours and well over 20 stalls and activities covering topics from apple variety identification and making apple juice to wood turning, dry stone walling, basket making and many other local arts and crafts this event is enjoyed by people in our community and by others from further afield. My extras give just a glimpse of its variety.

The stag was created by James Mitchell for the recent Kendal Torchlight Procession and was kindly loaned by Beetham Holiday Homes.
