Having driven to Ripon...

...in glorious sunshine, I was optimistic that a trip to the deer park, by Fountains Abbey, would produce some reasonable shots.

By the time I had found some deer and started taking photos, the heavy clouds were threatening. 

This particular beast posed happily, as I moved closer and closer, until the rain sent us both for cover.

I'd already taken the extra shot with the pleasant colours in the background. Both shots were straight from the camera, except for a crop, uploaded in a coffee shop.
