Treasures from Sardinia
I have described my ingenious method of transporting precious liquids in aircraft hold luggage before (Pat Pend)
We returned home from Sardinia today (11 hours travelling for 135 minutes the air) and this shows some of the delights that we brought home.
Two fine examples of pecorino cheese, the left one more "piccante"
Then a small bottle of Bottarga which also made it unscathed.
The gem in the middle is olive oil, of course, but not just any olive oil.
This oil, Meliddu, produced by Brozzu Giuseppe AZ, from trees very near to our hotel, won a Gold Medal at the XXII nd edition of BIOL, for the Best Organic Olive Oil in the World.
