Silk paper
I was invited to attend a Craft Group today where they were making silk paper. A fascinating process and not that difficult, because I made some!! We set down Silk Cocoon Strippings (unwashed and which still contain the natural gum which the Silk Worm uses to make the cocoons) and/or silk throwers waste on a sheet of baking parchment, added some coloured silks and/or wools, put another thin layer of strippings on, wet it all, put another layer of baking parchment on top and then ironed it. I was quite pleased with my three efforts.
And I was overjoyed to hear from Larchlea that little Daisy has arrived safely in her new home and she was playing nicely with Miss Daisy herself.
