Macun lakes

Wild and wonderful landscapes painted our day: an early start, 1500m ascent, snow at the top, caution in places, a very autumnal feel. Despite the length of our walk we never tired from Zernez to Lavin. With only wildlife to greet us we were in awe in this small oasis of the swiss national park. If you visit the museum a monster is said to live in these lakes: perhaps he's already hibernating in the frozen lake up there.
