Before the storm hits ...

... we're promised a day of wild weather when the remnants of the latest hurricanes visit these shores. But this morning it's calm as can be and this is the view from my bedroom window. Mist on the Ochils, a bit of autumn colour on the Abbey Craig and the Wallace Monument pointing at a leaden sky.

I'm blipping early. I'll be off to see mum in Edinburgh this morning then by this evening we'll have a three generation household when my younger son, his partner and their toddler move in with us for a few weeks. I'm looking forward to this very much but I anticipate that later on today will be busy and won't leave much time for blipping.
