I too walked into town this morning and also took a photo of Farmer John’s tractor and trailer which was parked at the end of the lane.  This contained some vegetables he had grown.  He was charging 50p for sweetheart cabbages and broccoli and had left his honesty box next to them.  I just hope his money remained safe until he collected it this time, some months ago the money was stolen, so he stopped this Saturday morning tradition, a sad reflection on our times.
 
The rest of the day was spent on chores, although I did get out my infrequently used sewing machine to turn up some jeans.  Being only 5’4” I struggle to find them the right length.  It took me half an hour to work out how to wind the bobbin and thread the machine…but the end result was worth it.  Then I did two and half hours of ironing.  I felt very pleased with my achievements at the end of the day.
