A paleteable truth

I started work on lining the inside of the garage with wood reclaimed from old palettes today. The aim is to have turned it into a cosy spring-to-autumn snug by early next year. You have to visualise it painted up in bright colours; for the moment a few jaunty beer bottles will have to do. And the means of opening them of course - one has to be practical as well as creative.

We also went to a vintage fair today and nabbed some old wine crates that we are going to turn into floating shelves. So something of a retro day all ‘round.

This weekend has gone far too fast; I still feel knackered. But all the drilling into concrete and sawing and hammering up wood panels did at least give me some exercise ...
