First day of freedom!

One of two colony cage birds liberated (legally!) today by the British Hen Welfare Trust for a free range retirement chez moi. The other, dubbed a Poor Little Soul by the rehoming ladies, looks almost as feather free as those you'd find on the shelf in Sainsburys. This is why, if you care at all about animal welfare, you should buy free range eggs. They taste a whole lot better too!
