The People's Fair

SUNDAY

I nipped down to Halifax to collect a parcel from the sorting office. The roads were unusually busy and I had to park quite a distance away.

Everyone seemed to be heading to the Piece Hall where there were some strange goings-on a rich display of creative and imaginative talent. including a giant goose on a cart (extra) and the guy (pictured) who was putting children into a tent and they were emerging with a plastic cabbage on their heads.

Apparently the event was a combination of festival, street party and marketplace.

I didn't stay.
