Sugar Beet

There has been a lot of hard work going on in the fields near Linton Zoo harvesting Sugar Beet, I've been amazed at the speed with which it comes out, and amazed by the volume of sugar beet harvested. 

This pile at 11.00am this morning will be gone by tonight...and processed straight away.  The whole thing is very automated and slick: did I spot an 'Ashcroft' boy doing the driving?
