Today was the first of a 2-day course with Andy Small at RHS Wisley on Creative Flower Photography.  Having looked on his website, I was expecting some fairly complicated lighting - but nothing could be further from the truth.  Most of his images use natural light and reflectors.

For me the relevation of the day was the how the technique of backlighting (using a painted glass backdrop in main shot, or black velvet in the extra) and simple white card reflectors could bring a specimen to life.  Can't wait for Day 2 next week!
