Last day in Germany
We had some free time this morning before the concert this afternoon.
We’ve been to Marburg, a town on a hill near Guiessen.
It was not bombed during the Second World War. There are lots of medieval buildings.
We parked near the church of St Elisabeth but were unable to look around as there was a service taking place.
We’ve walked around the town and looked at the castle.
The Grimm’s brothers went to the University there and we followed their tour around the town.
We looked around the St Elisabeth church and I lit a candle for David. He would have liked the church.
After a quick rest we have changed into our choir uniform and had a rehearsal prior to the performance with the other two choirs.
We had a standing ovation. The other choirs had provided a buffet and we had a lovely evening talking to the other choir members.
Tomorrow we will be going home. We have had a lovely time. So many people have been really nice and supportive to me.
