Day 2

She woke up so excited for her second day of YYM. Before we went she did a gorgeous practise of her Trepak. The piece she started on Firday night and has now nailed.

She had a mainly fabulous day. Her ensemble teacher was pleased with her work on her duets. Her piano teacher was really impressed with her Trepak. Her dalcroze class was a lot of fun. Until she fell and twisted her knee near the end. She cried and sat with it iced for a while. I got a call from the centre manager who said she'd not wanted to come home but he gave me the choice to come for her anyway. I wanted to leave her as she'd not had her clarinet lesson and wanted to meet her new teacher & practise her audition pieces, which is 12 days away. She did get to meet her teacher. She didn't get to play her pieces, which was a bit concerning. However, she was totally chuffed to have her new student badge. She wore it very proudly for the day. Including for the whole evening after!
