Stupidly, last night I was moving me camera bag about 2 feet - without the camera being secure in the bag - and of course it falls out breaking my filter...

Typical.

Just about to go to bed and there's glass all over the floor!

Tonight, with the help of pliers and about 20 minutes, I finally got the empty filter ring off my $1500 lens...

Tense moments.
