Tapestry of Tears...

The news this morning from Las Vegas was shocking, sad, horrible. I can't begin to understand what kind of person does such a thing, or why.  Maybe in the days/weeks ahead, officials will be able to piece together the chain of events that led to our country's worst mass shooting .  Not that it will bring back the 58 souls who are gone or heal the hundreds who were injured.  

I released Monarchs #127 and 128 today in honor of those who were lost yesterday.  This photo is a macro of #128's wing, not long before he was released.  I love the way the scales look like fine needlepoint.

The happier part of the day was having a lovely visit with Loisbiz and her hubby, Bob.  Lois released #128 who took to the skies after pausing for a moment on Lois's finger.  Afterwards, we three sat on our patio and visited while watching the chipmunks, titmice and cardinals feasting on seeds and peanuts.  Tomorrow, I hope to take Lois and Bob to one of my favorite trails for a short hike and some photos.

Be sure to take time to tell people who are important that you love them.  Life is uncertain.
