Ring my bell

I have always been taken by bedsit bells. It reveals both the transitory and stability of this form of housing. This door bell set is on Great Western Road Glasgow, just after Great Western Terrace. There are two large terraced houses whose entrances are framed by two magnificent matching Egyptian sculptures. I would love to know the history of these houses. One has been a bedsit for well over 40 years.
