October is breast cancer awareness month - BCAM, represented by the colour pink. 


This is a simple and inexpensive key ring, but one that is incredibly important.

The tiny bead at 2 mm shows the size of the smallest cancer found by a regular mammogram

The centre bead at 14.5 mm  shows the average size of cancer found by regular mammogram

The largest bead at 22 mm shows the average size of lump found by a woman checking her breasts.

In NZ, women aged 45-69 yrs are fortunate to have access to free breast screening every two years.
