Simplicity of a clothespin.
I've been reading a book Called The Ball and The Cross by G.K Chesterton, and i must say it's nothing short of brilliant. Wanted to share a bit with you tonight. The basic storyline is a die hard Christian man and an Atheist end up challenging each other to a duel over religious (and in the athiests case, non religion) matters. Set in Old England, its nothing short of brilliant. Turnbull is the athirst and Evan MacIan the zealous christian.
'Then you are quite certain it would be wrong to like me?' Asked Turnbull , with a slight smile.
"No," said Evan, thoughtfully, "I do not say that. It may be the devil, it may be some part of God that I am not meant to know. But I had a work to do, and it is making work difficult."
"And I suppose," said the atheist, quite gently, "that you and I know all about which part of God we ought to know."- G.K Chesterton The Ball and The Cross
Funny how in life, we can get set on things, I grew up one way and the course of the last four years has been a revolution in what I grew up in. Belief or disbelief, doesn't matter, think on this. Just as the men in this book do. And read it if you want, its a phenomenal easy read. Rather enjoyable, not really religious but set in such a way as to challenge both sides.
