Common Carder Bee (I think!)

Dry above but very wet and muddy underfoot ..... a day for wearing wellies while dog walking in the park.

Walking round the walled garden in Kings Park I was surprised to see this very lethargic bumble bee crawling over a rather sad looking dahlia .... I doubt that he will last the day as the temperature is quite a bit chillier now.

As usual P & M were quite happy to sit and wait while I was busy with my possible bee blip.
