Beech Nut Cases

A relaxed day today  I popped into Thornbury to see my friend Chris and  we had a lovely chat.  The office it being revamped and they are letting out some of the upstairs rooms.  She took me up and showed me them and they look so different empty.
We have been tasked with taking the granddaughters' works of art and putting them on to an external hard drive.  Fun.
This afternoon I wandered around the garden and picked up this beech nut cases for my blip.  I am amazed at how hard they are and the colours inside also how tiny the seeds are that grow into huge beech trees.
Not too bad a day we did have some sunshine
