The Last of the Hydrangeas

I always leave the hydrangea flowers for as long as possible. I like the way they fade so gently.

Today BT finally tracked the problem with my office phone...the fault is up the top of a leaning pole over the other side of our road. It is too dangerous to climb so they have to come back tomorrow with a cherry picker to sort it. Yes, that's the exciting kind of life we live round here!
