In thanksgiving.....

...for the life of a much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother....

We joined many others at this service this afternoon and it was special to remember the life and service of a much loved and respected lady who was at our church with us some f---fty plus years ago.

She and her husband worked and lived in India for many years before returning to England with their children who were peers of We 4. They became good friends of our parents. At times the years and circumstances have separated us but today we caught up and filled in the gaps.

I remember Dorothy as a very direct lady and I am not at odds with her children who shared memories of their mother today! Always interesting when that happens! I do recall her giggle though which was very infectious and is a characteristic of all her children. The "Ma Thompson giggle" could be heard at some distance!

Today there were other friends we'd not seen for years. How good that we all age at the same rate!!

Please visit the cancer research site to help give a free mammogram to someone who would benefit from one and support BCAM 2017. Thank you! The pink gerbera is my link for today.

I have backblipped the gaps in my holiday journal ...at last.
