Tiny Tuesday: Red Harvester Ant

It finally stopped raining so I went out with my camera looking for tiny things.  This red ant was the tiniest and I have included several of its family members in the extra.  Happily, these are not in my yard!  Soon they will burrow down deeper for the winter.  The mountains where we were camping just last week are getting lots of snow, up to 12 inches in some places.  The ski areas have fired up their snow guns hoping for an early opening date.  And...snow is in our forecast down here for next week but I'm sure it will be here and gone quickly.  Last year our first snow was on October 19th...
