One day later . . .
This is yesterday's crab - today. The colour is the most obvious difference, but it has also started to come apart and will soon be gone.

Edit: Got a response from Susan Scott (info above). She says Hawaii has 5 species of rock crabs. The molts turn red from the heat of the sun and therefore a new molt might have some of its original colour in it (black, green). Now we know. I love to see them and will surely blip them again.
