The king...
...on his chariot, holding his pot plant and soap dish!
The plan was that Es and I were heading to the Open Day at Queen Margaret University by train. This changed 5 minutes after we sat our bottoms on said train when Scotrail cancelled said train.
Mr R & the Fangle to the rescue...they abandoned golf lessons and took us through in the car.
Not Es’s first choice but I have a bias for Queen Margaret as a graduate of said institution and liked what I heard and saw today on the new campus at Musselburgh.
Mr R and the Fangle went for a walk into the town and then met them for lunch in the student union. One more course talk after lunch then all four of us did a tour of the campus and accommodation. An informative and well organised day.
As we were passing and we need to get the furniture for Es’s bedroom...we nipped into Ikea on the way home and I am pleased to report that not a lot of “extra” items made it into the basket.
Back home to Buncle who had spent the day in pyjamas going from Xbox game to TV to YouTube on his phone! It was exhausting for him!
Grateful for a good day and a wee change from the Saturday routine.
