Assessing water quality
Although I live right in the middle of town I'm lucky enough to have the River Forth flowing past the house. There's not often river traffic though so I was excited to see a research boat going upstream this afternoon, and even more pleased that I had the camera to hand. It's a hasty shot; it was moving quickly. The boat is a SEPA marine survey vessel. The river is still tidal here so I guess it has a job to do testing the pollution levels even this far from the sea. I believe there's possibly some new flood defences to be built round here so maybe the boat has something to do with that too.
In other news my toddler companion is still under the weather so I think it'll be an afternoon on the sofa with stories.
