Attention to detail ...

....another busy day and carved out some thinking time by walking between campuses where this caught my eye.

It is from one of the pillars outside a sheltered housing complex at Perdrixknowe on Colinton Rd. This has been built around Waverley House which dates back to 1894.

I recently discovered I have connections going back even further. A 7th great aunt Esther born in Inveresk in 1708 moved to Edinburgh and settled in "Peartrick Know" as it was spelt in one of her son's baptism records.
