Opal Coast

Wandering the Côte D’Opale is not a bad way to spend a birthday, even if the views should have been more like this. A lovely lunch, walks by the sea and a splendid dinner. It doesn't get much better than this.

This is the fort at Ambleteuse, last blipped in the summer. Then the sun was hot, the sea and the sky were blue and there were many people about. Today the sun shone, but it was windy and we were just about the only ones there. Still a lovely place to be.
