Tyntesfield House
We journeyed towards Bristol today to visit Tyntesfield House, a huge NT property. Last time we visited dogs were only allowed outside the shop and café at the entrance, this year they are trialing new access areas for dogs. Obviously they can't go in the house or Cafe and it's a step in the right direction and I hope they open up more of the grounds next year.
The Chapel was the highlight of the house, never consecrated sadly but a beautiful place. Kitchen garden and greenhouse area was lovely too! Extra is a exhibition of glass seals which caught my eye, great way to display them!
We called into the Clarks Village on our way back, bit disappointing but worth an hours mooch....you can take the dog into the Outlet village and even in some of the shops! Got a couple of pairs of Clarks shoes at a bargain price and another much needed shirt for my Morris kit.
Back home for a steak meal cooked on the marvellous Cadac Safari chef, great piece of kit. Folk have said we must be hardy creatures (think that's code for mad) to be camping this time of year but honestly it's very cosy and a lot of fun!
