Monopoly Australia Style

A small group of us got together to do something that none of us had done in many many years. We played Monopoly. Moreover we used the official Australian version. No Mayfairs or Leicester Squares here. It was all about Esperance and Darwin and Orange and Melbourne etc.

The rules were quite traditional with a few exceptions. London railway stations had become Australian capital city airports while pounds had given way to a different currency altogether ... "millions of dollars".  Apart from that,  "Chance" and "Community Chest" cards had acquired a distinctive millennial flavour. All good fun except that Norma fleeced the rest of us pretty clean by the finish.

I had been making an earnest attempt to stay abreast of Blip events in recent times but we've been on the road the last few days and access to the internet has not been reliable. Expect me to turn up at your journals pretty soon, however.
