No Rain Today!

No rain today was the forecast, though it was due to be cloudy. The forecast was wrong, we had barely started on a walk along the beach front when there was a downpour, luckily as we had gone such a short distance we were still close to the beach cafes, so we were able to take shelter in Bora Bora.

Once the rain had stopped we continued our walk along the beach until we got to Kaiserstraat, at this point we went inland away from the wind and took a tram to the The Hague centre.

The rain continued with short but sometimes heavy showers throughout the morning. During one of these showers we took shelter in a bar where we had lunch.

In the afternoon we returned to Scheveningen and planned for our final evening. After having a drink in one of the bars I was attracted by their menu and we decided to stay for a meal. It turned out a bit disappointing as it was not prepared as we expected.

The photograph is taken as we left the cafe where we had dinner, and shows deserted tables in the open. All sensible folk are inside in the warmth, though the rain seemed to have blown over by late afternoon.
