The Yorkshire Dales

Well, to continue from last evening; the steak night was great, we really enjoyed our meal.  Afterwards we sat around and discussed the day and it was decided that we would split into two groups today, and one group would go back and try to make a better and safer walk for day 2 in the same area, while the other group checked out our walk for day 3.  These walks are for our club break in the Yorkshire Dales in February of next year.

So that's what we did, and I was with the first group.  We found a much better route, with more open views of the surrounding countryside, and also no hazards.  So we were happy.

Then we started for home, and met up with the other group, who had also had a successful day, in the Carlisle Golf Clubhouse, where we had a meal before driving the rest of the way home.  And guess what?  They had a steak night on, with complimentary wine!!!  However, only three of us could face steak again, and I with the others had fish pie, which was delicious, followed by a chocolate brownie sundae.  I think we need to rename our club to include Food as well as walking.

Anyhow, home now, and looking forward to my own bed.!!!
