Waiting for Hallowe’en?

This lovely bed of assorted squash, pumpkins and nasturtiums caught my eye today in Edinburgh Royal Botanical Gardens. In absurd contrast to yesterday’s dreich greyness and last night’s torrential rain, today has given us blue sky and sunshine while tonight the harvest moon is lighting up the dark sky of a perfect - and chilly - night.

It won’t last ...
