Abstract Architecture
A few weeks ago a chap from photo group gave us a short talk on how he processes his photos to get his signature ' super-saturated ' images. It was an interesting talk but I wasn't inspired to try it on my own photos because I felt that look wasn't really what I wanted for the type of photos I take........however, one of the competition subjects for next year is ' post 1960 architecture ' ( which is going to be a real challenge for me, not least because I usually haven't a clue when most things were built ), so while I was out and about today I drove round a recently built shopping centre to see if anything caught my eye ( in the certain knowledge that it would be post 1960!!) .........this was all I could come up with but it looked a bit bland, so I reprocessed it following the method outlined in the talk ( as best as I could remember) and that seemed to give it a richness and bring it to life.
I'm not sure I'll be doing much of it in the future but I would be interested to have your opinion on the ' super-saturated ' style :-))
