Choughs

Not the ones we get in the UK, but their Alpine cousins with their red legs. The forecast was for a fine day so we decided to go to Lenggriesand, take the Brauneck gondolbahn before walking up the Benediktenwand. It was a grand trip and involved some mild scrambling on the Achselköpfe before the ascent to the summit. The extra is looking back at the Achselköpfe from the slopes of the Benediktenwand. The top was very busy and pleasantly warm, so we had a bite to eat and watched the Choughs as they scrounged for food and flew for enjoyment. The blip is of them with the hills of Austria in the distance.
