Heron on rooftops

This was a return visit from the heron - last time I saw him it was dawn - this time was dusk. Watched him for ages, waiting for him to take off. Stood poised, finger on the shutter.......boyfriend persuades me it won't move any time soon - 3 seconds after I take the camera away from the window - it's gone.....damn!!!
