New ways of working

Moved into the new office space today - WOW, it's bright.

Pink, purple, orange and green are the zones, which offend my sensibilities slightly, but actually help you navigate your way around the space.

Humans are creatures of habit, they don't like change; there were a few grumbles here and there. However, we are also infinitely adaptable - everything will settle down soon I'm sure.

My locker is full to busting, hotdesking was as stress inducing on the first day as we all expected. But I had actual conversations with people who I would normally e-mail, put some faces to names and for the first time in many months, left my desk for lunch, sat a table with my colleagues and had a conversation that wasn't entirely work related.

I may grow to like my new work 'home' even it it does like like a cross between McDonald's and Foxton's.....
