Reflections from a Paper Boat... Wyllie in Words
This week, the major task is creating the website for the schools, with images, words, music and a little of everything Wyllie. It should allow pupils to explore his art, his ideas and also his words.
So, today it was a day of words, of thinking about his poetry, prose and drama, as well as the words of others as they themselves reflected on George Wyllie and his impact on their work.
Liz Lochhead wrote in her poem about the artist,
Which Great Scot
(pronouncedly Scottish) pronounces
Scul?ture
most Scotchly with a question mark and a
glottal stop?
It's a very clever poem, playing on words, on images and yet so accessible, so clear.
So, today has been a day of full of words and questions,
and reflections.
