Last Gasp

I thought all the Clematis in the garden had given up for the year and have been photographing the jewel like seed heads but then found this solitary flower which seemed to have appeared overnight. It will be interesting to see how it fares.

Most of today was spent sorting clothes and Nik-Waxing my Paramo jacket and walking boots ready for a two week visit to the Lake District leaving this Friday. I remember I was there this time last year when the temperature reached 28C. somehow I don't think that will happen this time.
