Tunnels
Today we went to the World War Two oil tunnels. It was long and filled with posters filled with big words and sentences that I couldn't really understand. It was as hot in there as outside {and that means, it was HOT} and I spent most of the time just sitting, thinking, and drinking.
We then looked at Darwin waterfront and it actually looked really good. There was a huge wave pool and a big inflatable waterpark with a giant waterslide and catupalt pillow
We decided to get our swimmers and come back. We came back and Dad and I booked in for the giant waterpark. We went in the wave pool for a minute then went to the giant waterpark. It was fun,..............we went on the smooth long steep slide, then the bumpy out of control one. We then went on the giant catupalt. It works when a lighter person sits on one end, and a heavier person jumps on the other. I jumped down and crawled to the far end. Dad got ready to jump and I suddenly yelled for him not to jump. My guts weren't with doing it but my head was. I decided that I would let him jump, just to see what it was like. That was probably the wrongest wrong move I have ever made or ever will make. I went flying higher and higher into the air, higher , and higher, and higher until I felt I just couldn't go any higher. It felt like I was just hovering there for hours, at least 3 metres above the ocean. While I was up there I suddenly realised it was not going to be a very fun journey down. I started falling, and falling, and falling, falling, falling, until I just felt I couldn't fall any more. I hit the ocean with a terrific smack, my goggles were knocked over my mouth and my life jacket sprung up around my neck and it almost felt like it was suffocating me. My muscles completely left me and I completely couldn't move.
Later on Dad was jumping off a jumping pillow on the side, he took a run up, threw himself into the air, and landed at the most peculiar angle I had ever seen. He did hurt himself, but quickly got up again and demanded another go on the slides.
When we were climbing back up I suddenly lost my grip and flew down the inflatable stairs. My body kept bending back and forth and if I were a snake I probably would have survived. When I arrived at the bottom, I was breathless, completely breathless. My back was aching and my tummy was sore.
We went back to the wave pool and had a couple more rides then had dinner with Aunty Julia and her friend Jemma then left for home.
