Over 500 years old

This horse chestnut tree in our village is usually overshadowed by its younger neighbours but briefly, in the autumn, it shines with its own light as the leaves turn orange. We had pouring rain last night so when the sun came out it really did look full of light as we came back from shopping. It has been a hectic day and we have friends coming for dinner so not much commenting, again, apologies and huge thanks for your love of chamois yesterday!
