Photo opportunity

It was time for another beach day today, and it had to be Cantarrijan because it's just the best beach around here. While I was dragging myself from my bed after a bad night due to the ongoing cold, S shopped for and made a delicious picnic. At the beach we hired sun loungers with the added benefit of waiter service ... an apero of a massive Spanish-style G&T with your toes in the sand is hard to beat. Then we had S's version of ensalada tropical -- basically lettuce with as many exotic fruits as you can find: pineapple, mango, figs, oranges, kiwi fruit, avocado, and a light vinaigrette. followed by left over roast chicken, then cheese and membrillo. A digestive pause, a swim, ice cream ... we didn't leave till nearly 7 p.m., and S even had the energy to hire a canoe and have a paddle round the bay (extra). On the way back we actually saw an ibex, and I had the camera ready for once.

In news from home, I was happy to get an email from R with a photo of Mystère sitting on her lap. He was apparently even purring. So perhaps the mental vibes I've been sending his way to tell him to stop getting into fights are working.
