Better late than never
The seeds were sown at the right time; the plants have thrived, growing big and strong with masses of fine, feathery foliage; but all summer the Cosmos have stubbornly refused to flower. Now that the cold weather's approaching, they've finally decided to give a bit of a display - perfect for Flower Friday, hosted as ever by Anni. I just hope the frosts hold off for another month...
It's very, very quiet here this evening. Pete's still in Leeds, Lizzy's gone to Derbyshire for her friend's hen party, and all the lads have gone off on a five day stag-do, starting with a weekend in Nottingham and then progressing to Prague. I dread to think what sort of state they're going to be in when they return home! I'm actually really enjoying this peaceful interlude before a fairly hectic fortnight to come.
